Nicki Minaj is reportedly zeroing in on her future in politics, as it gives true power and influence.
An insider told Radar Online that the 43-year-old Trinidadian rapper, singer, and songwriter is hungry and is taking serious measures to gain it.
The source said, "Nicki wants real power, real impact and a seat at the table.”
Back in November 2025, Minaj sparked controversy after she supported President Donald Trump’s claims that Christians are being persecuted in Nigeria.
At a Turning Point USA event, she said, "In Nigeria, Christians are being targeted. Churches have been burned, families have been torn apart... simply because of how they pray."
However, analysts severely condemned her remarks, urging that jihadists and other armed groups have started violence that is affecting all communities in the West African nation irrespective of religious beliefs, socio-economic status, and geographical background.
Another source close to the Make Love crooner revealed, "But she's not apologizing, and she's not walking anything back.”
"Nicki believes taking a stand matters more than chart position, and she's decided she's okay with losing fans,” the insider shared.
Notably, Minaj is closely observing conservative politics and is having conversations with high-profile people behind the scenes.
It is pertinent to mention that the Only hitmaker must become a citizen of the United States before running for election.
On the music front, Nicki Minaj’s forthcoming sixth studio album titled NM6 is slated for a March 2026 release.
