'Disgraced' Andrew’s misconduct with staff exposed in explosive royal biography

Andrew is under fresh scrutiny as a new book claims he treated staff with abuse and intimidation over many years.

Royal biographer Andrew Lownie’s Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York revealed hundreds of interviews and unpublished testimony painting a picture of inappropriate behaviour of former Duke of York.

In his explosive book, the author cited former employees describing how they were warned to avoid Andrew and how they dealt with his antics, per OK! Magazine.

Some recalled his strict demands and vulgar jokes with Lownie arguing that Andrew’s behaviour persisted largely because he was never held accountable.

"When I started, I was warned to stay away from him. He would sometimes enter the staff quarters. It seemed everyone was aware of his behaviour, but little was done about it,” said one employee.

"Apparently his bedtime habits as a single man left a lot to be desired," shared Wendy Berry, a former housekeeper.

"A collection of scrunched-up, soiled tissues usually lay scattered around the bed each morning for staff to collect after they had made his bed."

Colin Burgess, who worked as an aide to the Queen Mother, said Andrew often treated people with disrespect.

"He would talk to the staff, including me, as an officer talks to his subordinates," Burgess said. "He would say things such as, 'I want this done, and I want it done now.' "'Do it!' was his catchphrase."

"In all honesty, he wasn't a particularly nice person."
