Mark Wahlberg says Christmas in his household is centered more on togetherness than extravagance.

The actor shared an inside look at the holiday season in his family during a recent interview with Extra.

"We're big into movies. We're always together on the holidays. That's the time we have to be together," he told the magazine. "It's mandatory... We get to have breakfast together and lunch together, and dinner together."

He called it a rare opportunity for him, his wife Rhea Durham, and their four children to slow down and spend uninterrupted time together.

While meals are a key part of the routine, Wahlberg admitted he isn’t heavily involved in the cooking. He and Durham, who married in 2009, share four children, including Ella, 22, Michael, 19, Brendan, 17, and Grace, 15.

The actor is currently promoting The Family Plan 2, a holiday-themed sequel in which he stars alongside Michelle Monaghan.

During a joint interview, the two reflected on the pressure families can feel when comparing themselves to others.

Wahlberg noted how difficult it can be to separate reality from what appears online and how easy it is to get caught up in comparisons, to which Monaghan agreed.
