Kendrick Lamar upcoming live-action-comedy film with the creators of South Park has been delayed again.
In early 2022, it was announced that the iconic rapper would be producing a comedy movie in collaboration with Matt Stone and Trey Parker.
The following year, it was confirmed that as well as producing, Parker would also direct the live-action film.
Since then, information about the movie has been kept under wraps, except that it would be released on 4 July this year but then the film was delayed until March 20 2026.
Now, the movie has been pushed back again, and no new date has been set for its release nor has the title or cast been revealed.
The only information that has been made public is that the story revolves around the past and present coming to a head when a young black man who is interning as a slave re-enactor at a living history museum discovers that his white girlfriend's ancestors once owned his.
"It's true - we're moving (again). We're working hard at finishing the movie," read a joint statement attributed to Stone and Parker's production banner Park County and Lamar's company PGLang, as reported by NME.
This delay of Kendrick Lamar's film comes after he was recently nominated for nine 2026 Grammys for his sixth album GNX, which was released last November.
