Bruce Willis’ daughter Rumer has recently made heartbreaking revelation about her father amid his dementia battle.
The actress opened up that her father might not always recognise her but she knows that he can feel her love for him.
During a Q&A session on her Instagram Story on November 20, Rumer responded to a fan who asked about her father Bruce’s health.
“People always ask me this question, and I think it's kind of a hard one to answer, because the truth is that anybody with FTD (frontotemporal dementia) is not doing great,” replied the 37-year-old.
The actress mentioned that her father “is doing okay, in terms of somebody who is dealing with frontotemporal dementia”.
Rumer further said that the “only way that I feel like I could answer that in a way that was like ‘He's doing great!’”
She noted that these “parameters don't really work anymore I guess, in my mind”.
However, Rumer admitted she’s “so grateful” when she goes over to meet her father and can give him a hug, “whether he recognises” her or not.
“He can feel the love I’ve given him and I can feel it back from him,” remarked the actress.
Meanwhile, Rumer added that she “still sees a spark of him and he can feel the love that I’m giving, so that feels really nice”.
