A documentary film was presented at the ceremony on the bravery, services and outstanding achievements of the police martyrs of Larkana Division regarding their outstanding works and achievements in establishing law and order.

At the ceremony, police personnel presented an encouraging and enthusiastic comedy stage drama based on the challenges of the police personnel deployed in the field, health insurance facilities and daily policing. The stage drama was applauded by the audience, including the Sindh IGP.

The DIG Larkana said the successful operations of the police in Thal, Ghari Tegho, Kutcha and mountainous areas are commendable. Qambar Police conducted a successful operation in mountainous areas for the first time in history. The police units in Kutcha areas have become stronger and more effective than before. The zero-negotiation policy against kidnappers has yielded positive results.

IGP Memon said that what you praised me for is actually a credit to your achievements. I pay tribute to Larkana Police for the elimination of kidnapping for ransom and ‘honey trap’ gangs. The aggressive policy resulted in the elimination of no-go areas while several gangs were eliminated and surrendered. He thanked the Sindh government, Rangers and intelligence agencies for their full support. The overall crime rate in Larkana range has significantly decreased while kidnapping for ransom cases have almost disappeared, he said.

He congratulated the SPs of Shikarpur, Kashmore, Kandhkot, Qambar and Larkana for their frontline leadership, saying that DIG Nasir Aftab, SSP Shahzeb Chachra and Murad Ghangro stayed in such areas which people could not imagine. Moreover, from the very beginning, he told his police force that they were not alone. The IGP said that when an officer comes to the front and commands, his troops also fight against criminal elements in a courageous manner. A thorough and coordinated action against bribery should be ensured at all levels, he stressed.

Out of 2,576 martyrs of Sindh Police, 512 belong to Larkana Range, which has the highest number of martyrs after Karachi. Today, our head is high with pride because of the blood of our martyrs. After the elimination of kidnapping for ransom, our next target will be against extortion.

He added that with improved security on highways, the public has regained confidence in night travel. A sense of security is also important along with security. I appeal to the administration to improve health, education, and roads. Similarly, while providing the best security, we have to restore business, industry, and agriculture, and maintain an atmosphere of peace and order. The IGP helping the poor beggar is the real test of the police. “Your good name is my good name. I am proud of the performance of officers and soldiers.”
