RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and stability, while warning that any violation of its territorial integrity, whether direct or indirect, would be met with a firm and decisive response to protect the lives and well-being of its citizens.
During an interaction with the participants of 17th National Workshop at General Headquarters, the COAS stated that Indian-sponsored proxies, Fitna al Hindustan and Fitna al Khawarij, promote anti-people and anti-development agendas with malicious intent to perpetrate violence.
He reiterated that all necessary measures are being taken to pursue these terrorists and eliminate this threat from the province. The COAS described Balochistan as Pakistan’s pride, highlighting its vibrant, resilient, and patriotic people as its true wealth. He commended the development initiatives undertaken by the federal and provincial governments to enhance Balochistan’s socio-economic landscape through a people-centric approach. Emphasizing the province’s immense economic potential, he stressed the importance of harnessing it for the benefit of its people.Field Marshal Munir also acknowledged the constructive role of civil society, particularly in engaging and empowering youth, noting their critical contribution to sustainable development and countering vested political agendas for long-term prosperity in Balochistan. The workshop concluded with a candid interactive question-and-answer session.
