KARACHI: The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), together with the Consulate General in Sydney, is spearheading the participation of seven leading food companies at Fine Food Australia 2025, as the country seeks to expand its share in the region’s food and beverage market.

The delegation includes Jazaa Global, Khairpur Foods International, Rad International (Falah Food), Fruiticana Food, Pakistan Dairy Products (Igloo ice cream) and Matco Foods. Exhibitors are displaying a range of products from premium basmati rice and spices to frozen foods, confectionery and juices.

Exports of rice, juices, dates and other food products from Pakistan to Australia and the wider Oceania region have been rising steadily, according to the consulate. In 2024, rice and wheat and meslin exports to Australia totalled $22.8 million, up from $16.9 million in 2023, according to the United Nations COMTRADE database on international trade.

The region’s largest food industry exhibition offers Pakistani firms an opportunity to secure buyers, strengthen trade ties and position Pakistan as a reliable supplier of high-quality food products.

The consulate has also arranged business-to-business meetings and a networking dinner with leading importers. Consul General Qamar Zaman inaugurated Pakistan’s pavilion and assured exhibitors of support in expanding their footprint in the market.
