ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board on Wednesday approved the highest bids for commercial plots and shops amounting to Rs19.56 billion, as accepted by the auction committee in an open auction held earlier this month.
The meeting was informed that in 2025, the CDA successfully auctioned eight commercial plots and four shops, generating Rs19.56 billion in revenue. The bidding process, conducted from July 15 to 17, 2025, saw plots and shops sold through a transparent process, with overall prices exceeding market value by 11 percent. Some plots fetched bids 33 percent above the reserve price.
Despite stricter conditions—including reducing the installment period from two years to one year and decreasing the lump-sum payment discount from 10 percent to 5 percent—the auction was deemed highly successful.
The CDA Board also approved the budget estimates for the fiscal year 2025-26, with a total outlay of Rs92.215 billion, reflecting a surplus of Rs8.2 billion.
