Pakistani honoured with top cybersecurity award

KARACHI: Ali Salman Syed has become the first Pakistani to receive the prestigious President’s Award of Honor from EC-Council University, a leading global institution in cybersecurity education. This award recognises outstanding academic achievement, ethical leadership and innovation in cybersecurity.

Ali, currently principal solutions architect for the EMEA region at Veeam Software, has over 18 years of experience in securing enterprise systems and designing resilient infrastructures for Fortune 500 firms and government bodies. His work across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa highlights Pakistan’s growing influence in global cybersecurity.

The EC-Council University, based in Albuquerque, USA, is accredited by the DEAC and recognised by major US education authorities.
