Kylie Jenner gives insight how her acting debut actually happened

Kylie Jenner revealed that she nearly backed out of making her acting debut after the sudden death of her longtime hairstylist, Jesús Guerrero, who passed away at age 34 from a lung infection earlier this year.

During her appearance on Khloé Kardashian’s Khloé in Wonderland podcast on Wednesday, the 28-year-old model and entrepreneur shared that she committed to starring in A24’s upcoming film The Moment—directed by Aidan Zamiri and featuring Charli XCX—right around the time of Guerrero’s passing in February.

“I committed to it and then I was like, ‘Wow, I'm in a really bad place and I just don't know, in a month from now, if I'll be okay to do this,’” Jenner recalled.

“I think it was like a month away. I know the director obviously, so I was in contact with him and I'm like, ‘I really want to do it. I hope that I'm in a better place. Like just give me a chance, I'll get it together.’”

Jenner shared that she turned to her sister Kim Kardashian for guidance and motivation before filming. “I read the lines to her like how I would say it,” she said. “And she was like, ‘You're saying it perfect. You got this. This is so easy.’”

The film, which also stars Rosanna Arquette, Kate Berlant, Jamie Demetriou, Arielle Dombasle, Rachel Sennott, Rish Shah, and Alexander Skarsgård, is expected to release in 2026.

Though Jenner admitted she was “so scared for days to actually do it,” she ultimately felt proud of facing her fear.

“I had a very small part. I mean, I had a lot of lines, but I was just so afraid,” she said, adding that she plays herself in the film. Jenner hinted she’d consider acting again “if it was the right thing and the right role,” especially in comedy.
