Meghan Markle believes her return to Hollywood is a big deal even though she is trying to play it off as coolly as possible.
The former Suits actress finally ended her eight-year hiatus in Hollywood since she had quit showbiz to marry Prince Harry in 2018.
Back in 2022, Meghan had sternly said in her interview with Variety magazine that her acting days are over. “I’m done. I guess never say never, but my intention is to absolutely not.”
It seems that Meghan had changed her mind after all.
The Duchess of Sussex is filming a small role, a cameo as herself, in the upcoming movie, Close Personal Friends. The cast includes big names like Brie Larson, Lily Collins, Jack Quaid and Henry Golding.
The 44-year-old mum of two was spotted filming in California last week and left a positive impression on the cast and crew. An insider revealed to People Magazine that she was “very sweet and calm” and humbly “introduced herself as ‘Meghan’”.
The source noted that Prince Harry’s wife has been putting in a lot of effort into her return.
“She genuinely seemed excited to be on set,” they continued. “She was joking that she felt a bit rusty, but it was obvious that she had rehearsed and that it was a big deal for her to be back. And she was great.”
The insider went on to add that Meghan had “very warm energy” and she was “super pleasant to be around”.
The update comes just as Meghan kicked off her Hollywood comeback with a glitzy night at Kris Jenner’s lavish James Bond-themed 70th birthday bash on Friday. She was accompanied by Prince Harry and rubbed shoulders with big names in the industry.
