Prince William's warning to his youngest brother, Prince Harry, emerged in the media after Meghan Markle's shift in focus to the journey of fame.
For the unversed, the Duchess of Sussex left her fans in shock after it was confirmed that she is marking her return to acting with an upcoming film, Close Personal Friends.
On the other hand, Harry is reportedly desperate to make amends with his family and join the royals on his cancer-stricken father, King Charles' birthday.
But, Meghan has been busy with her back-to-back projects, and it is highly unlikely for her to join her husband despite his lonely life in Montecito.
Amid the reports of differences growing between the two, royal expert Phil Dampier's remarks came to light in which he accused the Duchess of using Harry and royal marriage for personal gains.
He said, "She saw it as a stepping stone, getting married to Harry and to new fame and fortune. And I think that's what initially Prince William was concerned about."
Notably, Harry also penned in his bombshell memoir Spare that William asked him not to hurry to marry Meghan.
He wrote, "It's too fast, he'd told me. Too soon. In fact, he'd actually been pretty discouraging about my even dating Meg."
"One day, sitting together in his garden, he'd predicted a host of difficulties I could expect if I hooked up with an 'American actress', a phrase he always managed to make sound like a 'convicted felon,'" the Duke of Sussex recalled.
