Millie Bobby Brown grew up in front of the world along with the rest of her Stranger Things family, and now she’s started a family of her own.
The 21-year-old Emmy-nominated actress welcomed a baby girl via adoption with her husband Jake Bongiovi — son of musician Jon Bon Jovi — over the summer after quietly tying the knot in May 2024. The couple has yet to reveal the name of their little bundle of joy, but the Enola Holmes star has now revealed who among her longtimecastmates was chosen as her baby’s godparent.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of Stranger Things season 5 on November 6, Brown disclosed her costar’s relationship with her daughter.
“Sadie is very, very maternal, but you know, Noah’s the godfather,” she said when asked about which of her Stranger Things costar she trusts the most around her baby.
“I trust all of them, to be honest. They all turn into the most gooey, soft versions of themselves. Their baby voice comes out when they’re around her, so it’s amazing,” Brown said.
The choice of godparent doesn’t come as much of a surprise, as Brown and Schnapp’s close friendship is well documented. Schnapp, 21, also spoke to ET about watching his childhood friend becoming a parent.
“It’s honestly the greatest joy. It’s actually crazy to me to see her grow from such a wide-eyed, innocent, young, silly girl — and now she’s a mom and married. I’m just so proud of her,” he gushed.
In their baby announcement Instagram post in August 2025, Brown and Bongiovi, 23, wrote, “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.”
Just two months prior on the Smartless podcast, Brown revealed, “My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19. It’s been my thing since before I met Jake. Since I was a baby, I told my mom, like, baby dolls. I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me.”
As for how new motherhood is treating her, Brown told ET, “They say you lose sleep — you do. There is nothing like losing sleep. You wake up and you’re like, ‘What time is it?’ But anything she needs, I’m there for.”
