Prince William urged world leaders for timely action: 'future at risk'

Prince William raised alarm bells with his latest statement following a crucial meeting with his father, King Charles.

The Prince of Wales headed to Brazil for an important event of his passion project, Earthshot Prize, after the royals wrapped up Andrew's drama with stern orders about stripping him of his titles and honours.

Ahead of the annual Earthshot awards ceremony set to take place in Rio de Janeiro on November 5, William had a meaningful conversation with Hello! Magazine.

At one point, he shared his optimistic vision, and on the other hand, he made an urgent plea to leaders across the globe to take climate change seriously.

First, William opened up about the reason behind his hard work in raising awareness about restoring the natural world. He emphasised that we create a green and pollution-free world for all the young and future generations.

The future monarch said, "As a father, I think constantly about the world my children will inherit. I want them to grow up surrounded by nature, opportunity and a sense of hope about the future."

He warned the world leaders, stating, "But I also know that unless we act boldly now, that future is at risk."

William believes that the Earthshot Prize is a platform which is "turning the tide," and it is helping us to prove to our children that we are willing to fight for a better tomorrow.

The Prince of Wales shared that his project promotes "urgent optimism." He admitted that today the challenges faced by the world are growing rapidly, but various solutions are also present and within our reach.

With timely conviction and speed, change will come, believes William.

"It's not blind hope. It's hope backed by evidence, by ingenuity and by the courage of those who refuse to give up on our planet," Princess Kate's husband gave a positive update to fans.

It is worth mentioning that William will also deliver a poignant speech at the COP30 climate summit, which will take place in the northern city of Belém.

He discussed the content of his keynote address with his father, who is equally passionate about finding solutions to the climate crisis.

"By hosting the prize in Brazil, we're shining a light on the solutions emerging from this part of the world and drawing global attention to the urgency and opportunity of climate action," William stated.
