Prince Harry must have strong, not-so-positive sentiments for his uncle Andrew, but he holds a special soft corner for his cousins, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
The daughters of Andrew and Sarah Ferguson had kept close ties with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex during a crucial time when the whole royal family has cut ties with them. The only two royals who remained in touch with the Montecito-based couple were Beatrice and Eugenie.
Now, it seems Harry is returning the favour by extending his support during what seems to be a very tough time for the sisters. According to a report by The Sun on Sunday revealed that Harry remains close to his cousins even though he supports his father King Charles decision about Andrew.
Harry had made a point to stay connected with his cancer-stricken father following their meeting at Clarence House in September.
Moreover, former royal correspondent Jennie Bond also shared that Harry and Meghan were not mere spectators in the events that took place in the past few weeks.
“Harry is, however, close to his cousins – particularly Eugenie – and I’m sure he feels great sympathy for them,” Jennie told The Mirror.
“Emotions must be so raw at the moment that I don’t know whether he would feel that now is the time to offer support. But, if needed, I think Harry would be there for them… at least on the end of the phone.”
Meanwhile, Beatrice and Eugenie have maintained a low-profile since the past few weeks as their father was slowly stripped off all of his royal titles and honours, including his ‘prince’ title and “cast-iron” 75-year lease on Royal Lodge.
