Queen Camilla influence on King Charles decision ‘not to be underestimated’

Queen Camilla seemingly pulled more strings than expected when Buckingham Palace made a landmark announcement after months of speculations.

King Charles had been under immense pressure from the public and the parliament members to take significant action as harrowing reports about his shamed brother Andrew were making headlines every day, each one worse than the before.

Given that the monarch had been undergoing cancer treatment, he also became a target of criticism and dubbed as a “weak king”, with calls for Prince William to take over began getting bolder.

Although, in an unexpected turn of events, Andrew was stripped off of his ‘prince’ title and the “cast-iron” 75-year lease on Royal Lodge no longer shielded him from vacating the lavish property.

According to a leading royal expert, Camilla was one of the stronger voiced nudging the King to take an action, even if the sole decision had been made by himself. The Queen’s influence was shown in the fine lines of the Palace statement.

“I think this was a highly significant part of the statement,” Jennie Bond told Express.co.uk. “Camilla was specifically included in keeping the focus sharply on the victims and survivors of abuse.”

The Palace wrote: “Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.”

Pointing out that a plural form was used, Bond explained that Camilla was not merely included she was “figuratively standing shoulder to shoulder with the King, determined to show that it is the young women and children who were trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein who matter most”.

Bond said that she could hear hear Camilla’s voice in that sentence “very clearly”. She must have been “appalled” by Andrew’s previous statements, in which he showed “no remorse or contrition”.

Camilla, who had worked to support victims of abuse as part of her royal duties, seemed to played a positive role in expressing solidarity with the victims as they seem to be brushed aside in the whole narrative.

Even from behind the scenes,Camilla’s move have left a signifcant mark in the decision made by Charles, adding a layer of compassion to what others may perceive as saving face in times of crisis.
