Sean “Diddy” Combs has been transferred to a low-security military base prison in New Jersey to serve the remainder of his sentence.

People magazine reports that the disgraced hip hop mogul was transferred to the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Fort Dix, New Jersey, early Thursday morning, October 30 — days after it was reported Diddy was nearly attacked in his sleep.

His legal team requested that he serve time at FCI Fort Dix — a facility known for its rehabilitation programs and easier family access — after complaining about conditions at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, where he had been held since his September 2024 arrest.

The transfer follows a reported near-death scare inside MDC last week. Diddy’s friend, Charlucci Finney, told the Daily Mail that an inmate armed with a shiv allegedly broke into his cell.

“He woke up with a knife to his throat,” Finney claimed, calling it “a warning” rather than a murder attempt.

Diddy, 55, was convicted in July on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. On October 3, he was sentenced to 50 months (four years) in prison.

The rapper will receive credit for time already served and may qualify for early release with good behaviour.
