THINK PAD
Are you in a rush? Do you have a lot of pending assignments and projects? Are you struggling with health or are you in a financial crisis? Take a deep breath and listen: sometimes it's okay not to be okay.
We are all struggling with our lives. Nobody is living a perfect life. Yet all we want to reach is perfection, but it’s impossible. We want everything to be perfect, but we forget the true beauty of imperfection. We are all imperfect human beings, and our imperfections make us special and unique. So, do not try to be perfect; instead, be humble, honest, and grounded. If you are in a rush to finish your daily chores, slow down, enjoy your daily tasks, don't take them as a burden on your soul, and reconsider the life choices which are burdening your soul and disturbing your mental health.
Sometimes, when we encounter a difficult situation, we start getting depressed. We lose control of our emotions and senses; this impacts our body, which in turn releases stress hormones. Nowadays, we react too early and regret when it's too late. So, stay calm and try to listen to others before making your decisions. Don't get stressed if something has gone wrong. Just focus on your plan towards success and don't be fearful of failure.
Choose to live a simple life without any pressure. Try not to stress about things like having trendy clothes and good looks, and remember not to take the judgment and rude comments of other people seriously – just make sure you don't disrespect anyone. Looks don't matter; what matters is how kind you are! So free yourself from the burden of expectations, trends, and outer beauty.
People lose their identity running after their favourite social media star. They start following an influencer and try to copy their looks and personality; in the process, they lose their identity and start living a stressed or distressed life.
So, just free yourself of this anchor and do what you want to do and live the way you want to live your life. Our religion, Islam, has also emphasized the importance of simplicity, so choose to live a simple life without the burden of judgements and expectations.
The famous proverb “a healthy mind lives in a healthy body” clearly explains that physical wellbeing is directly related to mental wellbeing. You should eat a healthy diet because it is necessary for your mental health.
Japanese people have one of the highest life expectancies in the world. One of the secrets of their longevity is the healthy food they eat. Most Japanese people grow vegetables in their own home gardens. On the other hand, we eat a lot of junk food on a regular basis. As a result, the incidence of diabetes, obesity, and hypertension are rising in our region because of malnutrition and a sedentary lifestyle. So, eat healthy to live a long and happy life.
Everyone thinks about his or her future, and that's a responsible attitude. But we should not waste our time obsessing about the future or our plans and projects. Overthinking is neither good for health, nor will it give us any benefit. It puts extra pressure on our brain and nerves, which, in turn, reduces productivity.
Someone has rightly said that success comes when you step out of your comfort zone. If you want to succeed in life, you have to take risks. So, my dear readers, stop overthinking and start working!
Choosing an independent life is not just about earning money but it also includes not relying on others to do your home chores. Don't put the pressure of your small daily chores onto your mothers, sisters, and wives. Try to engage yourselves with both your errands and your family when you are free; this will allow you to feel relaxed from the stress of the work. Our Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W) did His home chores himself.
Dear readers, think about the points I have mentioned above and try to live a happy and joyful life. Go where your heart finds peace and your mind feels relaxed. Don't run the race of this world. Slow down, take a deep breath, and start working on becoming a better person every single day!
