Instagram has rolled out a new feature that allows users to draw and place stickers directly onto their DM chat screen to make conversations more customizable and fun.
The new option will allow the users to draw and place stickers wherever they like on the messaging UI.
Users can access these options by selecting the “Draw” option which appears when they tap the “+” menu icon to the right of the message composer.
Meanwhile, you’ll see a new set of artistic toolkits at the top of your screen, enabling you to add personalized sketches all over your chat sequence.
However, you can also place stickers within the frame, giving you more distinct ways to customize your discussions and have fun in the chat.
More people are now sending DMs than posting on Instagram; this confirms the trend that users are engaging in DMs rather than posting to the main feed and sharing Stories in the application.
It has been observed that “Sends” are now at increased priority within IG’s algorithmic amplification, because likes are less consequential than somebody sharing a post with a friend.
The new feature will allow Instagram to add more intriguing options to increase engagement and make chats interesting within the application.
The addition of a new drawing and sticker option directly on Instagram DM chats will drive greater engagement, particularly as users personalize their private messaging.
