Palace assigns important task to Duke of Gloucester amid Andrew furore

King Charles’s uncle Richard, the Duke of Gloucester, has been given an important role to conduct as the royal family copes with a major crisis to deal with Prince Andrew.

The Buckingham Palace confirmed that the royal will be visiting the Merchant Taylors’ Hall, 30 Threadneedle Street, London, to commemorate the Reopening of the newly restored Western Entrance on Tuesday, October 28.

Rooted in history with old-world charm and modern elements, the Merchant Taylors’ Hall provides a space for community and purpose.

It is a place where members come together to make a meaningful difference through “volunteering, fundraising, and offering their time and expertise to causes that create lasting, transformative impact”.

The platform proudly declares that it has a record of surviving fires, wars, political upheavals, and plague over centuries.

Symbolically, this appears to be an uplifting sign for the royal family entangled in the buzz surrounding the disgraced royal.

Andrew announced in a statement released by the Buckingham Palace that he was giving up the use of his royal titles and honours as the allegations against him continue to “distract” from the vital work of the royals.

Andrew’s most vocal accuser Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir continues to haunt the former Duke of York, who awaits the impending eviction notice from Royal Lodge.

The Royal family is trying hard to stick to duty and service in order to bring the focus back on the positive aspects of the monarchy.

Prince Richard, who is the first cousin of the late Queen Elizabeth II, is complying with the role given to him.
