Artificial intelligence (AI) is useful to help authors and writers to defeat writer’s block and boost creativity, as asserted by the book publisher Bloomsbury.
According to Nigel Newton, the chief executive of the publisher behind the Harry Potter series, the technology can assist the authors in promoting creativity, but it is quite impossible to replace eminent writers.
While discussing the construction role of artificial intelligence, he said, “I think AI will probably help creativity, because it will enable the 8 billion people on the planet to get started on some creative area where they might have hesitated to take the first step.”
Using AI, writers can kickstart their first paragraph or first chapters, helping them to get back into the writing zone, Newton further shed light.
Contrary to books entirely written by AI, the world will always give preference to books written by notable authors. Because, the readers are naturally drawn to big brand names of well-established writers.
“There will be some shoddy content out there so people will turn increasingly to sources of authority for reassurance,” he said.
Newton founded Bloomsbury in 1986 and notably remained the publisher of J.K. Rowling book series.
