Buckingham Palace lauded the efforts of a rare royal amid the declining numbers of King Charles' supporters in the family.
On October 24, a series of delightful photos was released on the official social media channels of the royal family featuring the Duchess of Gloucester representing the monarch at a key event.
The statement alongside the pictures reads, "The Duchess of Gloucester has been in Bermuda to celebrate the Royal Bermuda Regiment’s 60th anniversary, in her role as Colonel-in-Chief."
"HRH’s programme highlighted Bermuda’s rich heritage, vibrant community, and commitment to the environment."
In the comments section, fans sent love to the Duchess of Gloucester's silent support to strengthen the monarchy.
Another fan made a heartfelt plea to King Charles' team to give more "coverage" to Birgitte.
A well-wisher wrote, "The Duchess of Gloucester marvellous. She has carried out numerous engagements with such dignity and grace as always. Your coverage hasn’t been as extensive as it should."
The Palace brought the Duchess of Gloucester into the spotlight after major shifts took place in the royal family.
First, the absence of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle felt especially poignant after King Charles and Princess Kate's cancer diagnosis.
Most recently, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson stepped back from royal life after a crucial discussion with the monarch and extended family following the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.
