ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court’s Constitutional Bench on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of petitions concerning the super tax until Thursday (today).
Representing the taxpayer companies, Barrister Farogh Naseem presented detailed arguments. He contended that the super tax could only be imposed under Section 6B(A) of the Income Tax Ordinance, where clear provisions already existed. He further argued that a relevant schedule was essential for the imposition of any tax, and no tax could be levied without such a schedule.
