LeBron James, the all-time basketball great, has teased a major announcement that he said is “The decision of all decisions” to be made on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
Previously, on ESPN’s “The Decision” in 2010, the athlete announced to leave Cleveland Cavaliers for the Miami Heat.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, LeBron posted a snippet from an interview, sitting on a chair across from reporter Jim Gray.
He captioned, “The decision of all decisions. October 7th. 12 pm EST,” and used the hashtag “TheSecondDecision”.
Many fans are speculating that he might announce something special about his retirement plans, as previously the soon-to-be 41-year-old athlete has previously revealed that he was excited to play another season.
He dismissed retirement rumours, saying, “I know the end of my career is a lot sooner than later.”
LeBron is turning 41 this December and despite getting older, he is still one of the best NBA players in the world. Last season, he averaged 24.4 points, 8.2 assists and 7.8 rebounds with the Lakers.
The post from the sports star quickly gained traction reaching nearly 45 million views and fans speculated about the decision in the comments.
Mr Beast, the world’s biggest YouTube creator, reacted to the announcement, stating, “You are becoming a full time YouTuber?”
Another wrote, “My GOAT bout to retire and become a streamer.”
It remains if The Second Decision will be the announcement of retirement of something else.
