QUETTA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Balochistan President Dawood Shah Kakar announced that a central public gathering under the party’s banner will be held on November 7 at the Hockey Ground in Quetta.

He expressed hope that the provincial government would grant permission for the peaceful event and ensure full security for the participants.

Speaking at a press conference at the Quetta Press Club on Sunday, alongside party leaders Sardar Zain ul Abidin Khilji, Noor Khan Khilji, Siddiq Khan, and others, Kakar said that a meeting of PTI’s district presidents was held in Quetta where important decisions were made.

He stated that PTI is the country’s largest political party, which has always played a vital role in Pakistan’s progress and prosperity. “Our party chairman has been enduring unjust imprisonment for the past 790 days, yet the rulers have failed to make him bow down,” he said.

He said it was decided in the district presidents’ meeting that the central rally will take place on Friday, November 7, at 3:00pm, at the Hockey Ground in Quetta, where central and provincial leaders of PTI from all four provinces will address the gathering.

“We will formally submit an application to the district administration for permission, and we expect the provincial government to not only allow a peaceful rally but also provide full security to attendees,” he said.

He also criticized the government for failing to maintain law and order in Balochistan and across the country, saying the people’s lives and properties are no longer secure.
