Jane Goodall's Famous Last Wordsdocuseries gets posthumous release on Netflix.
As reported by the NY times, late Goodall who died on October 1, 2025, appeared on one of her last interviews to discuss her life and legacy as a conservationist and environmental advocate.
The last sit-down conversation, with the late primatologist recorded earlier this year is the first episode of an upcoming docuseries, Famous Last Wordson Netflix when cultural icons sum up their life and careers with final words to be heard by a grieving world only after their death.
The executive producer of the docuseries Brad Falchuk released a statement on Friday October 3, 2025, that read: “Jane Goodall was fearless in all things. She deeply loved humanity and the natural world. It was clear to me in our conversation that she was approaching her final adventure with the same fearlessness, hope, humor and joy that she approached everything else in life”
“She was one of the world’s greatest and most beloved champions of good," Falchuk stated further.
While living among chimpanzees in Africa starting in the 1960s, Primatologist Jane Goodall documented the wild animals and changed how humans look at primates.
Over the time the Goodall concluded that she needed to alert the world for a global climate crisis to protect the natural world of Chimpanzees with whom she worked throughout her life.
The visionary humanitarian and primatologist Goodall launched the Jane Goodall Institute and Became United Nations (UN) messenger of Peace during her lifetime.

While paying tribute to Goodall, Netflix reveals, “The episode will offer viewers a rare opportunity to experience Goodall’s deeply personal reflections on her life’s work as someone who connected humanity to Mother Nature like never before.”
The producers of the Famous Last Words docuseries said she offered personal insights about her scientific research work and life in the sit-down appearance.
“Goodall also shared never before heard stories about her life. The conversation is extremely honest and revealing and, knowing this would only air after she was gone, Goodall spoke movingly about her own death,” states Netflix.
While revealing new docuseries, Netflix also shared the idea behind the whole theme.
Executive producers Mikkel Bondesen and David Goldberg explained the theme of the new docuseries,Famous Last Words, that is based on the Danish TV format Det Sidste Ord,(The Last Words).
In addition to that, the Danish theme “Det Sidste Ord,” has earned acclaim for the sensitive touch that comes with giving living notables such as musicians, athletes, comedians, actors, business leaders and politicians a chance to reflect on their lives and contributions.
