King Charles’ office has shared a poignant message following Prince William’s bombshell new interview.

Just hours after the Prince of Wales’ appearance on The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy on Friday, October 3, Buckingham Palace shared an important update on a key mission to the Congo carried out by Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh.

“On her second visit to the Democratic Republic of Congo, The Duchess of Edinburgh returned to the newly expanded Panzi Clinic in Kinshasa,” read a statement on the Royal Family’s official Instagram account.

The clinic is described as a “one-stop centre that provides survivors of sexual violence with holistic care compromising medical, psychological, legal and socioeconomic support.”

The message was accompanied by moving pictures of Her Royal Highness listening intently to survivors and engaging with the staff.

“The Duchess also visited a safe house, which provides survivors with psychological care, protection services, and socioeconomic support to aid their recovery and reintegration into society,” the statement added.

The moving update comes as the Prince of Wales appeared in his most candid and vulnerable interview yet.

Giving a tour of Windsor Castle to the Schitt’s Creek actor, the future king opened up about his childhood, the divorce of his parents, the death of his grandparents Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, his wife Princess Kate’s cancer, and more.
