King Charles, Prince Harry reunion mocked in spitting image

The legendary satirical show Spitting Image has brutally mocked Prince Harry and King Charles's recent reunion, depicting the father and son's meeting as an awkward exchange between grotesque rubber puppets.

In a new web show iteration of the classic program, Prince Harry is represented as a grinning puppet with a receding ginger hairline, hosting a podcast called The Rest is B****talongside a mockery of Paddington Bear.

In a new clip shared on social media, the puppet Harry and Paddington discuss the recent meeting between the real Harry and King Charles. "I saw my father, the other king, this week after the longest time," the puppet Harry says.

"It was mega... We spent almost 50 minutes together and didn’t know where to start." The footage then cuts to the puppet Harry and King Charles sitting together in silence, with a clock loudly ticking in the background.

The two puppets sit in total silence, occasionally clearing their throats and nearly falling asleep. Suddenly, the clock chimes, and Harry's puppet leaps away from the meeting with the parting words: "Go to go. Ciao, dad!" King Charles's puppet is left alone, glumly looking down at his shoes.

The satirical depiction of the meeting appears to depart from the actual reporting of the event. After the meeting, Prince Harry described his father as "great" and expressed his desire to return to the UK more often, possibly with his children.

The meeting was the first time the King and his estranged son had met since February 2024, after Buckingham Palace announced the monarch's cancer treatment.
