Madeleine McCann case prime suspect Christian Brueckner has allegedly boasted he can solve the scandal of the century while attempting to purchase an untraceable phone just days after his release from a German prison for an unrelated rape conviction.
Brueckner, the convicted German identified as the chief suspect in the 2007 case, in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, as per witness accounts he made the claims to staff at an electronics shop where he was browsing phones.
The 47-year-old was also reportedly seen wearing a conspicuous synthetic beard while visiting a local takeaway restaurant, suggesting attempts to disguise appearance.
The shop manager Farouk Salah-Brahmin revealed: "Brueckner told me he had some information that could bring the scandal of the century to an end."
Brahmin further added while talking to reporters: "He said something about USB sticks and that he could bring his own solution to end all accusations against him."
The alleged comments have intensified speculation that Brueckner possesses undisclosed knowledge about Madeleine's disappearance from a Portuguese holiday apartment when she was just three years old.
German prosecutors have considered him their main suspect since 2020 but have yet to file formal charges due to insufficient evidence.
A pizza shop employee described Brueckner's attempted disguise and he was wearing a false beard but was still recognizable. It was long and made of some kind of synthetic material.
Brueckner's lawyer previously acknowledged public concern over his client's disturbing criminal history but maintained Brueckner's innocence in the McCann case.
The convicted individual in another case has refused to cooperate with investigators throughout the ongoing long run and high-profile investigation case.
In addition to that, since his release, Brueckner has declared himself homeless and has been residing in emergency accommodation in Neumunster, approximately 40 miles north of Hamburg.
Accused sudden freedom and alleged comments have reignited international interest in one of history's most famous missing persons cases.
