Larry Ellison has achieved this feat after Oracle shared with him an $89 billion net worth, and there’s more growth one can expect.
Ellison’s total net worth has reached to $383.2 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaire Index.
Remember, it’s the highest ever one-day increase in history that placed him ahead of Musk for the rest of the day before the Tesla Inc. pulled back into the lead by $1 billion.
Elon Musk, 54, initially topped the list of richest people on earth in 2021, but shortly after lost the title to Jeff Bezos and Bernard Arnault. However, Musk regained the top slot a year later and has maintained it for over 300 days.
On the other hand, Oracle CEO Larry Ellison, 81, founded Oracle and is now serving as its chairman and chief technology officer, and most of his wealth is invested in the database software company.
Oracle’s shares, which already had gained 45 percent this year till Tuesday’s closing, soared 36 percent on Wednesday after the tech company followed a significant jump in books and an optimistic forecast for its cloud business.
