Prince Harry stepped out of his car and into debate as he arrived at Clarence House this afternoon, marking his first in person reunion with King Charles in nearly 20 months.
The Duchess of Edinburgh, Harry's aunt had been at Clarence House earlier in the day, but departed before the Duke made his entrance.
King Charles and Harry last met in February 2024, soon after the King disclosed his cancer diagnosis
While the reunion was emotionally charged, not every family member was there to witness the moment.
Harry’s return to the UK comes at a deeply symbolic time. He quietly honoured his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, visiting her grave on the third anniversary of her passing and then attending the WellChild Awards both efforts that amplify public hopes for familial healing.
Communications between Harry’s team and palace aides had started to thaw earlier this year.
The timing aligned with Prince Harry’s own engagement at the Centre for Blast Injury Studies at Imperial College.
In July, aides from both sides reportedly held a meeting a step many see as laying the groundwork for today’s milestone visit.
