A group of powerful tech titans and financial leaders is expected to join Donald Trump on his second state visit to the United Kingdom from September 17 to September 19, 2025. The official visit is hosted by King Charles III at Windsor Castle.
The tech giants include Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, and Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. Other high-level executives from major financial companies like Blackstone and BlackRock are also invited.
Peter Kyle, the newly appointed British Business Secretary, was in the US recently to build momentum on a tech deal.
The presence of these tech leaders highlights the growing importance of the technology sector in the relationship between the two countries.
It is hoped that the visit will lead to new business deals and investments in the UK, especially in areas like nuclear energy and artificial intelligence.
Jensen Huang, the Nvidia CEO, has previously warned in June that Britain was “the largest AI ecosystem in the world without its own infrastructure.” The visit is seen as a way for the UK to attract investment.
However, some have raised concerns that the UK’s AI policies are not yet fully developed, and they worry about the potential for the UK to cede too much to the demands of large US tech companies.
Sources indicate the visit could lead to formal announcements, boosting UK tech ambitions under the new Labour government led by Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
Jensen Huang, Sam Altman, Larry Fink, Stephen Schwarzman, and possibly Tim Cook are accompanying President Trump on his UK state visit.
