Prince William and Princess Kate are honouring the late Queen Elizabeth II on the third anniversary of her passing.

On Monday, September 8, the Prince and Princess of Wales joined members of the National Federation of Women’s Institute (WI) in Sunningdale, an organisation that held deep significance for the late monarch.

“Visiting the Women's Institute in Sunningdale today to celebrate and commemorate Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the three-year anniversary of her death," read a message on the couple’s official Instagram Stories.

The WI, the UK’s largest women’s organisation, was an important part of the late monarch’s life. She first joined in 1943, served as President of the Sandringham branch from 2003 until her death in 2022, and often attended annual meetings.

In her later years, the Queen continued to show her support, including hosting a Platinum Jubilee reception at Sandringham for fellow members and volunteers.

During their visit, William and Kate met with members from Berkshire and beyond, listening to how the organisation helps women connect, develop skills, and contribute to their communities.

They also heard personal stories from those who had met the Queen over the decade
