John Cena headlines WWE’s first Wrestlepalooza in ESPN debut

John Cena is set to headline the upcoming Wrestlepalooza event on Saturday, September 20, 2025, as World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) partners with ESPN for its Premium Live Events (PLE).

WWE announced the news that it’ll be leaving Peacock and debuting its PLE on American over-the-top sports video streaming service (ESPN), earlier than previously decided.

The first-ever WWE’s Wrestlepalooza event will be streamed live from Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis via ESPN’s new direct-to-consumer service. The event will begin at 7p.m. ET/ 4p.m. PT.

Several other PLE events are also scheduled including Crown Jewel on October 11 and Survivor Series on November 29 and all of these will be available exclusively to the U.S. ESPN DTC subscribers with unlimited plans.

According to the details revealed by wrestling entertainment company, the event will feature several WWE superstars including Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch, CM Punk and Drew McIntyre in major matches.

“The 48-year-old American actor and professional wrestler will take the ring for one last time in Indianapolis on Saturday,” WWE announced.

Talking about the partnership with ESPN, Triple H said, “On September 20, WWE and ESPN are coming together for a can’t-miss event to kick off our new partnership. The biggest Superstars in WWE. The biggest brand in sports media. Are you ready?”

Tickets for Wrestlepalooza will go on sale starting Friday, August 22. at 10a.m. ET/7a.m. PT via Ticketmaster(dot)com.
