US TALK

Rising model and actor Awais Kashif has been dreaming big since day one, juggling school, sports, and competitions like a pro. Two years ago, he decided to go all in on his dreams. Modelling became his jam, a way to get comfortable in front of a camera before diving into acting. He linked up with Citrus Talent and other agencies, and opportunities started rolling in. Awais shot for brands like Istor, Calza, and Fils Wear, and did commercials for Realme, Vital Tea, and Gourmet Cola among others.

On the acting front, he hit the stage with Ajoka Theatre’s play Suicide Point to sharpen his acting skills, and the applause just fuelled his fire even more. Currently, he’s studying theatre, film, and television at BNU, showing just how serious he is about acting by choosing an academic path that is all about his passion.

Awais has got grit and hustle! He’s mixing academics, sports, and showbiz like a champ. With accolades under his belt – including a Certificate of Honour for Class Prefect and the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award – he’s proving he’s more than just a participant; he's a winner. He’s also a beast on the court, snagging gold in basketball at BSS AITC, silver at LGS Sports Fest, and bronze at the Inter House Sports Gala as well as bronze in karate at Pak-Turk Annual Sports. Awais is definitely one to watch!

Us: What do you chase: fame, money, or success?

Awais Kashif: Honestly, I’m all about that success vibe – fame and money aren’t really my main goals. My focus is on pouring my all into my work, unlocking my potential, and making a name for myself in this competitive scene. At the end of the day, success is just the result of hard work and dedication.

Us: Where have you studied?

AK: I completed my O-Levels at Beaconhouse School System and then pursued my A-Levels at Lahore Grammar School. Right now, I’m studying Theatre, Film, and Television (TFT) at BNU in Lahore. It’s been an epic journey that’s fuelled my passion for the arts.

Us: How did you make your way to the industry?

AK: Acting has been my jam since I was a kid. I always dreamed of being an actor who stands out. Kicking things off with modelling and theatre acting helped me sharpen my skills and get ready for the big leagues.

Us: Who is your pillar of support?

AK: My mom is my rock! Her unwavering belief in me and her constant cheerleading make this journey not just bearable but actually gratifying.

Us: With all the work coming your way, how do you maintain your energy levels?

AK: I make my health a top priority by hitting the gym regularly, playing sports, and keeping my diet balanced.

Us: Do you think good looks and connections make things easier?

AK: For sure, good looks and connections might catch attention, but they definitely don’t guarantee you a solid spot in this industry. Talent is what really drives you forward.

Us: What was the biggest moment for you?

AK: It was when I debut as a theatre actor at Ajoka Theatre, facing a live audience for the first time ever! Before I went on stage, I had a few spicy disagreements with the director that had me feeling all kinds of frustrated. But you know what? I channelled that energy into my performance, and the crowd totally vibed with it! Their hype left me buzzing and on cloud nine!

Us: How do you handle self-doubt?

AK: Self-doubt is totally a vibe when you’re chasing big dreams, and trust me, I’ve felt it. But I always remind myself, if I don’t at least try my best, how am I supposed to grow? It’s all about that persistence, you know? I keep grinding and investing my time to smash through challenges like a champ!

Us: What role has social media played in your journey?

AK: Social media has been a total game changer, fam! It’s helped me connect with the right peeps who’ve boosted my career. So many cool opportunities have come my way because I’m putting myself out there online. I mean, in today’s world, folks are scrolling through social feeds way more than they’re chilling in front of the TV, so having a killer online presence is everything for your brand!
