Princess Beatrice is ringing in her 37th birthday today, and this year’s celebration comes with an extra touch of joy – it’s her first since welcoming her youngest daughter, Athena Elizabeth Rose.
Athena, who arrived earlier this year, is 11th in line to the throne, following her big sister Sienna, and is the fourth grandchild of the Duke of York and his former wife, Sarah, Duchess of York.
Rather than hosting a grand royal affair, the Princess of York is opting for a more intimate celebration, spending the day with her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, and their two daughters.
Just days before her birthday, Princess Beatrice proudly represented the Royal Family at a jubilant parade celebrating England’s victory in the Women’s European Championship.
The Princess of York was spotted among the crowds gathered outside Buckingham Palace, joining well-wishers in cheering on the Lionesses after their historic win.
She was accompanied by her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, their daughters Sienna and Athena, and Edoardo’s son, Wolfie.
The parade was especially significant for the family, as it marked baby Athena’s first public appearance since her birth in January 2025.
Edoardo shared the happy news earlier this year on Instagram, describing his daughter as “tiny and absolutely perfect.” At the time, the King, Queen, and other members of the Royal Family were said to be “delighted” with the new arrival.
Alongside her family engagements, Beatrice is also taking on new royal responsibilities. In July, she was announced as the newest patron of the Chartered College of Teaching – a position once held by her late grandfather, Prince Philip.
