A few weeks ago, writer and director Matt Reeves unveiled that the screenplay has been finalized, which now leaves movielovers questioning when the film is entering into production.

Earlier today, Warner Bros. Discovery boss David Zaslav gave a fresh update giving a green light to the forthcoming flick.

While updating about James Gunn’s plans regarding the DC universe, Zaslav opened that, “The Batman II’ (2027) is preparing to begin shooting next spring, among several other projects in development.”

According to him, Gunn is currently busy preparing the next major DC installments including the Supergirl(2026), Wonder Woman and Clayface (2026).

He further teased some television projects included in the 10-year vision for the DC.

“The 10-year vision for the DC universe also includes an exciting array of television projects, including The Penguin, the upcoming new season of Peacemaker, and the debut of Lanterns in 2026”, shared ScreenRant.

The upcoming action sci-fi will bring back Robert Pattinson and Colin Farrell as Batman and Penguin.

Gotham city will allegedly face a new threat from a new enemy, which is yet not disclosed. But rumours have it that Joker might return, with Barry Keoghan playing the titular role.
