RAWALPINDI: The Punjab Excise and Taxation Department has announced a 10 percent discount on vehicle token tax and a 5 percent discount on property tax across the province until August 31.
Vehicle owners and property owners have been asked to take full advantage of the discount. According to excise officials, a desk has been set up in the Rawalpindi excise office to facilitate vehicle owners who do not know how to use the internet, which will help citizens generate PSIDPs. Citizens, who can generate their own PSIDP via the internet, can pay token tax online from their mobile phones.
Rawalpindi Division Excise and Taxation Director Imran Aslam said that the process of distributing PT5 (challan) for depositing property tax for the current financial year 2025-26 has started. Challans are
being sent to taxpayers at their addresses.
If taxpayers do not receive their challan for any reason, they can get it from the excise office.
According to the DC rate, there is no property tax on properties worth Rs5 million. In case of non-payment of the property tax, surcharge will start after August 31.
The process of sealing the properties of taxpayers and the seizure of vehicles of token tax defaulters will begin after it.
