Princess Anne pays tribute to Scotland at Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo rehearsal

Princess Anne once again showcased her deep affection for Scotland not just through her presence, but through her wardrobe.

Attending a rehearsal for this year’s Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, the Princess Royal made a poignant fashion statement that honoured the nation’s rich cultural heritage.

Wearing a sophisticated outift, King Charles’s sister donned a striking red, blue, and green tartan skirt.

The pleated design fell just below the knee, adding a tailored flair to the traditional fabric.

She paired the look with a smart light grey shirt jacket, a classic navy shoulder bag, and elegant black heeled pumps, creating a look that was both polished and patriotic.

HELLO!'s Fashion and Beauty News Editor, Laura Sutcliffe, praised the Princess Royal’s style, calling it a quintessential example of what makes her wardrobe so enduring.

“Princess Anne is a lover of tartan; she is often snapped in her favourite heritage print,” Sutcliffe said.

“It’s timeless and classic, and durability-wise, it will never go out of style.”

She also highlighted the subtle evolution in styling: “We've seen this skirt before the royal has rocked it on many an occasion but she hasn’t paired it with a tailored separate like this blazer.

This sleek outerwear staple gives the skirt a modern kick and looks undoubtedly smart.”

While her fashion made headlines, Princess Anne’s presence was also deeply meaningful.

She met with several performers set to take part in this year’s Tattoo, including members of a Ukrainian naval band who are participating for the first time since the outbreak of war in their country.
