The fight arranged to put an end to controversy further exacerbated it after controversial results.

The fight ended with two judges scoring 114-114 draw while a third had Barrios as a winner with 115-113 score.

Talking in the post match press conference, Barrios said, “I have no hesitation about a rematch. I feel like I don’t have anything to prove. If he wants to run it back, it’ll be completely his choice, but I am open to it if that's what he wants.”

The 46-year-old PSA Athlete of the Year award winner appeared satisfied with his performance.

He said, “I started late because of the elections in the Philippines. I trained for only two months and I am so happy with my performance for two months of training and no fight for four years.”

The 12-time eight division world champion said he would pursue a rematch with Barrios but added, “I need to continue my training for longer going into championship fight.”

Moreover, the legendary athlete expressed his readiness to fight anyone in his weight category.
