Princess Beatrice issued her first statement after being honoured with an important role previously held by her late grandfather.
The Princess of York has been appointed as a new patron of the Chartered College of Teaching, marking a new phase in her life.
The organisation's spokesperson expressed their happiness over welcoming Beatrice for a meaningful role.
The officials shared that the late Duke of Edinburgh was their patron until he died in 2021. He actively supported the Chartered College of Teaching and the teaching profession.
Speaking of the major honour, Beatrice penned a personal message, saying she is delighted to be associated with an institution for teachers and taking over a job once done by her grandfather.
She said, "To me, the power that teachers have on shaping lives and transforming futures makes it one of the most commendable and highly regarded professions."
"I’m a passionate believer in the vital role that teachers play every day and know firsthand the impact that great teaching can leave on a child and their family," the mother-of-two added.
"I’m really excited to support the College’s mission to champion excellence in teaching and to celebrate the impact of this incredible profession," the Princess of York concluded.
Notably, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, the York sisters, are engaged in charitable work while also pursuing their professional careers.
There are reports that the York duo will be of great use for the future of the monarch, as the number of active members of the royal family is declining with each passing day.
