King Charles makes history with huge gesture for Princess Anne

King Charles has taken a key decision to celebrate his sister, Princess Anne's "duty and devotion" ahead of her milestone birthday.

The Princess Royal, who will be turning 75 on August 15, was honoured with a commemorative coin released by the Royal Mint.

The monarch's office said in a statement, "Join us as we celebrate Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal as she marks her milestone 75th birthday with the first UK coin made in her honour."

The coin featured Princess Anne's beautiful portrait captured by John Swannell, her official Coat of Arms and birthday tribute.

The inscription on the coin reads, "The Princess Royal – Celebrating 75 Years – Duty and Devotion."

According to the Mirror, Rebecca Morgan, the director of celebratory coins at the Royal Mint, praised the hardest-working royal for her determination and commitment to her work, which has strengthened the King's monarchy.

She said in her message, "For the first time in British numismatic history, we are honoured to celebrate the Princess Royal on an official UK coin."

"Her Royal Highness’s unwavering commitment to public service, charitable work, and support of His Majesty’s armed forces over seven and a half decades makes her truly deserving of this tribute."

It is important to mention that Princess Anne has always stood beside his brother, King Charles, especially during his challenging health woes.

It now appears that the monarch finally rewarded the Princess Royal's hard work with a huge honour.
