It is deeply concerning that despite the presence of an active provincial government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the availability of multiple helicopters, the people trapped in the devastating Swat floods could not be saved in time. With modern technology and aerial resources at hand, timely intervention could have prevented this heartbreak. The lack of coordination and delayed response reflects administrative failure and highlights the need for immediate accountability and stronger disaster preparedness. The lives lost must not be forgotten.
