ISLAMABAD: The government of Pakistan has appointed Air Marshal Asad Abdur Rehman Khan Lodhi as the Vice Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force, says a pres release.
Air Marshal Asad Abdur Rehman Khan Lodhi was commissioned in GD(P) Branch of Pakistan Air Force in March, 1982. He is a qualified Flying Instructor and during his illustrious career, he has commanded a fighter squadron, an operational air base and a regional air command.
In his staff appointments, he has served as Director Strategic Operations, Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Operation, Research and Development), Director General at the Ministry of Defence Production and Director General Projects at the Air Headquarters, Islamabad.
He has also served as Defence Attaché to Japan. He is a graduate of the Combat Commanders’ School, Air War College and National Defence University. He holds master’s degrees in defence and strategic studies. Presently, he is serving as Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Support) at the Air Headquarters, Islamabad. In recognition of his meritorious services, he has been awarded with Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military).
