QUETTA: Balochistan Inspector General of Police (IGP) Moazzam Jah Ansari said that more than 1,000 brave officers and personnel have sacrificed their lives in the fight against criminal elements.
He reaffirmed that Balochistan police will continue to tighten its grip on criminals and bring them to justice.
Speaking at the passing-out parade of the 102nd batch at the Police Training College in Quetta, IG Ansari praised the performance of the new recruits, highlighting their impressive turnout and high training standards. “Policing is a sacred duty that demands sincerity and integrity. Our personnel have restored public trust through their conduct,” he said.
IG Ansari emphasised that Balochistan police have shown commendable performance against unlawful elements, despite operating under difficult conditions. “The current circumstances have increased the responsibilities of the police, and we are committed to using our professional skills to transform Balochistan into a cradle of peace,” he added.
The IG also underscored the importance of respecting citizens’ rights and dignity while fulfilling duties. “High moral character and a positive attitude bring honor to the department. Laying down arms is akin to losing self-respect; a police officer’s weapon is a symbol of pride and a frontline defense against crime.”
He applauded the Commandant of the Police Training College (PTC), Shahzad Akbar, and his team for maintaining excellent training standards. He assured that all issues and requirements raised in the Commandant’s address would be resolved on a priority basis.
During the ceremony, IG Ansari also distributed shields and awards to officers and personnel who demonstrated outstanding performance during training. “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the trainees, especially those who excelled. This training will strengthen our force, and these officers will prove to be a valuable asset to the department,” he concluded.
