Prince Harry, Meghan Markle's marriage: King Charles III's thoughts laid bare

The royal family does not seem to be immune to modern relationship complexities as their personal lives behind palace gates often make headlines.

The royals face the same relationship challenges as the rest of us. An expert has revealed King Charles' thoughts on Prince Harry's marriage to Meghan Markle.

Royal commentator Esther Krauke has claimed that despite moving away from the monarchy, the Duchess of Sussex will be less than impressed with her reduced royal status.

"We know that King Charles said something about him being whipped. We keep hearing things consistently coming out from courtiers and people that are close to the Royal Family,"Krauke told to The Sun.

"The Queen's opinion of Meghan evolved, and it's much like how the country's opinion evolved. I think where things went wrong was clearly the cultural clash," added the broadcaster.

The expert explained: "I think in some ways Meghan thought she was marrying a billionaire, but was marrying a millionaire with like sort of a reduced status."

Krauke noted that perhaps the former Suits star didn't "fully understand or was even interested" in her new royal role.

She also mentioned that the Duchess "hadn't earned enough brownie points to actually be able to choose the tools she wanted to go on in the way that she wanted to do or curate her image in the same way".

Harry and Meghan tied the knot in May 2018, but have faced new explosive claims about tension in the lead-up to their wedding.

The Duke of Sussex alleged had left the late Queen 'dismayed' with some of the wedding arrangements, according to the expert, adding that he almost 'blew' his relationship with his late grandmother.
