Kate Middleton isn’t losing any momentum as she returns to her royal duties.
On the morning of Thursday, July 3, the Princess of Wales hosted a meeting at Windsor Castle for a project that’s close to her heart.
According to the Court Circular — the official record of royal engagements — Kate held a meeting for her pioneering project, Shaping Us, under the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood.
Launched in 2021, Shaping Us aims to make childhood development “one of the most strategically important topics of our time.”
The quiet meeting followed Kate’s powerful visit to the Royal Horticulture Society's Wellbeing Garden at Colchester Hospital in Wessex a day prior, marking her return to the public spotlight after a long absence.
While speaking to patients and staff, Princess Catherine spoke candidly about the lesser-discussed phase after cancer treatment ends.
“You put on a sort of brave face, stoicism through treatment. Treatment’s done,” said Kate, who announced her own cancer remission earlier this year. “Then it’s like ‘I can crack on, get back to normal’ but actually the phase afterwards is really difficult.”
“You have to find your new normal and that takes time,” she noted.
