The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester are set to play a key role during the upcoming State Visit of French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte, to the United Kingdom next week.
To note, President Macron and the First Lady of France are scheduled to visit the UK as guests of King Charles III and Queen Camilla, from Tuesday, 8th July to Thursday, 10th July 2025.
In order to honour the VVIP guests, the Prince and Princess of Wales will officially welcome President Macron and Mrs. Macron at RAF Northolt on Tuesday, 8th July, on behalf of His Majesty the King.
Right after the initial greeting, Prince William and Princess Kate will accompany the French presidential couple to Windsor.
Later, at the day, they will join the King and Queen at the Royal Dais on Datchet Road for the official ceremonial welcome. Both King Charles and President Macron are expected to deliver speeches at the Windsor Castle.
It has also been reported that on next day, President Macron and his wife will privately visit St George's Chapel to lay flower at Queen Elizabeth II's final resting place.
That evening, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester will escort President and Mrs. Macron to a formal banquet at Guildhall, hosted by the Lord Mayor and the City of London Corporation.
