On one tourist spot in Swat, stranded people waited for rescue as the river surged around them. The rescue never arrived. Yet again, tourists have lost their lives in a tragedy that could and should have been prevented. But, as has always been the case, we will not learn and similar tragedies are likely to happen in the future.
